Using the Outlook integration features, users can archive important e-mails and attachments directly in to SharePoint amongst their other project documentation. Storing e-mails in SharePoint provides a rich management and search experience when managing e-mails. SP Accelerator 2009 provides an easy to use interface to drag and drop e-mails into their SharePoint site. The "from", "to", "subject" and other metadata fields are stripped out of the e-mail and used to populate SharePoint fields which can then be included in your overall search configuration and e-mail management strategy.
Using the advanced reporting features available in SP Accelerator 2009 will allow you to build informative management reports on you e-mail stored in SharePoint. |
